Biography
George Clooney is an American actor, director, producer, and philanthropist known for his charisma, intelligence, and commitment to both craft and causes. He was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, into a family with media and entertainment roots—his father, Nick Clooney, was a TV anchor, and his aunt was singer and actress Rosemary Clooney.
Clooney's early acting career began in the 1980s with roles in television series, but his breakthrough came with the medical drama ER (1994–1999), where he played Dr. Doug Ross. His combination of charm and emotional depth made him a household name and launched a successful film career.
He quickly transitioned into major film roles, starring in Out of Sight (1998), Three Kings (1999), and O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000). Clooney's performance in Syriana (2005) earned him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, and he has been nominated for multiple Oscars throughout his career as both an actor and filmmaker.
